Disphoria Design
has recently completed 3 online e-learning courses for SPAN
- the Single Parent Action Network.
The courses were delivered using Moodle
- an open source PHP-based VLE or Virtual Learning Enviroment:
a database application that enables login and tracking of learners,
quizzes and interactive learning, along with live chat and forums
where the learner can interact with the tutors or other learners.
The
courses were illustrated by cheerful cartoons to create a warm
friendly feel to the courses. There was a need to write introductory
and explanitory text, especially in the 'Getting Started' course.
